Crocs Athletically Enhances Its Classic Clog for Greater Utility and Performance

The aptly named Classic Turbo Clog is speedier, more capable and more secure without losing its inherent Croc-iness.

There’s no denying the casual comfort of a pair of Crocs Classic Clogs. Despite their inherent … ugliness, this foam footwear has transcended into the world of fashion thanks largely to just how easy-wearing it is.

Unfortunately, they struggle with capability and can be a bit bulky. If either (or both) have been problems for you, there’s some good news: the brand has sidestepped them with the more athletic, utilitarian Crocs Classic Turbo Clog.

Built for speed or built for comfort? Why not both?

It’s turbo time!

At first glance, this might look an awful lot like a standard Classic Clog. However, looks can be deceiving, particularly in this case.

The most noticeable difference is the shoe’s outsole. Unlike its Classic siblings, the Turbo is significantly more low-profile. And less material overall means a lighter overall weight.

The Croslite outsole of the low-profile Turbo is significantly thinner than its standard siblings.

You might worry that this makes them less durable, capable or long-lasting, but fret not; Crocs has made adjustments to suit. While the outsole is thinner, it’s reinforced with a rubber outsole for better traction and to counter wear and tear.

The brand has also improved the back strap to match that lighter weight and additional traction. Now, it has an adjustable “Turbo” strap that’s even more secure — meaning you can go, go, go without having to worry about your clogs slipping off.

A Croc by any other name

Crucially, these are still Crocs at their core. As such, they’re still made with the brand’s signature Croslite foam.

That means they’re just as comfortable as customers have come to expect. They’re also waterproof and, therefore, easy to clean, which is an added bonus.

There are also a couple of other details longtime customers will enjoy. For starters, like Classic Clogs, the Turbos have the brand’s signature holes in their upper. That means they are breathable, drain easily and are compatible with Jibbitz charms.

They also have that cozy, textured footbed that’s anatomically-friendly and comfortable. So what’s the catch? There isn’t one. These are the real deal.
