Time and time again, Yeti proves that no category is safe from the whims of its designers … and that no product is beyond improvement.

To the Austin-based outdoor brand, every cooler, beach chair or fire pit is a work in progress. And don’t you dare forget the humble can crusher.

Earlier this year, the brand surprise-dropped its own heavy-duty alternative to the everyday garage staple, stunning even diehard Yeti fans who thought they’d seen it all.

Smash hit

The Can Crusher clocked in at more than five pounds out of the box, sized to fit both standard cans and 16-ounce tallboys. And the powder-coated finish was there to prevent rust.

At 5.3 pounds, the Can Crusher puts the heavy in heavy-duty. But a template and hardware kit, both included, make mounting a breeze.

Naturally, it sold out quickly upon release, disappearing from the brand’s website as quickly as it arrived. However, it would appear that the item’s inaugural run was only the first surprise of many.

Just in time for holiday shopping, Yeti has decided to restock the Can Crusher for anyone who missed out on the first batch.

Unfortunately, the size and wight mean it won’t fit in a stocking. But who’s saying it shouldn’t be the first box under the tree?

The Yeti Can Crusher costs $125 and it’s available exclusively from Yeti’s official website. Unlike its drinkware, it won’t be sold through third-party sellers like REI or Dick’s Sporting Goods.
