Duffle bags are among the most classic gear haulers around. They’re remarkably versatile, typically pretty easy to haul and are very straightforward.

Yet, even among weekenders, the Orbitkey Foldable Duffel is special. Not only is this bag extremely useful, but it also possesses some neat, sneaky features that make it even more travel-friendly. But best of all, it comes at a bargain-bin price point, offering one of the best value-to-cost ratios available.

Grab bag

At first glance, the Foldable Duffel is formatted like the many, many weekender bags that have come before it. That’s not a bad thing — it’s a recipe that has worked for decades upon decades.

The bag boasts a generous 55-liter capacity, which is spread across numerous pockets. Granted, the bulk of it can be found in the main zippered compartment, but it also has external pouches and zippered pockets.

Because of its size and format, this is an outstanding gym bag, standalone travel bag and auxiliary or secondary pack.

However, it does have some features that set it apart. For instance, it weighs just 10.2 ounces total, so its very lightweight. It also boasts a 100-percent recycled nylon exterior fabric with a waterproof PU coating. Plus, the zippers are waterproof.

It even has a luggage pass-through on one side, so you can more easily slip it atop your other luggage when traveling to, through and from the airport. Yet, when it’s on its own, it still has nylon webbing straps for easy hauling.

Pack it up, pack it in

Even considering its light weight, weatherproofing and other convenience features, that’s not really what truly sets this bag apart. Rather, it’s what you can do with it when it’s empty.

You see, this fairly large duffel actually packs down into its own integrated carry case. And it can pack down so small, you could easily fit it inside a carry-on, daypack or even some smaller sling bags.

The Foldable Duffel packs down small enough that you could feasibly stash it in a daypack or even a sling bag.

That makes this bag remarkably useful for travel. You can slip it into your primary bag and only expand it when you need the extra carry space. Or, if you use it to transport things from point A to be dropped off at point B, you can just pack the bag up for an easier return trip.

This wouldn’t be the first travel-ready bag to be made extremely packable. It also wouldn’t be the only duffel to offer a similar array of features. But it might be the best one to do it for such a jaw-dropping low price, and therein lies its true beauty.
