Yeti built its name on hard coolers and stainless steel, but something truly unique was tucked into this year’s annual Gear Garage lineup that feels less like a one-off and more like a signal flare for where the brand might be headed next.
In case you don’t live and breathe Yeti, the brand’s so-called Gear Garage is a once-a-year, limited-drop event where fans can snag coolers, drinkware and other gear in rare or discontinued colors, special-edition shades, first-time releases and “once they’re gone, they’re gone” reissues over a few tightly packed days.
While highlights from this year’s event, including Blue Camo coolers and neon Solar Flare drinkware, felt both exciting and somewhat expected, a full-on home blanket collab somehow manages to feel surprising and long overdue in the best way.
A deliberate indoor move

The newly revealed Yeti x Pendleton Wool Blanket combines Pendleton’s heritage wool and Rio Grande Valley-inspired patterning with Yeti’s now-firm identity as a full-blown lifestyle brand, not just a cooler company.
Unlike the waterproof, festival-ready Lowlands blanket, this 65″ x 54″ blanket is made from napped wool and cotton, dry clean only, and is explicitly designed as an indoor piece for the ranch chair or cabin sofa, not the pickup bed.

Taken with recent pushes into dog gear, fire pits and even more decor-adjacent color stories, the blanket reads like a test balloon for a bigger indoor footprint — think more textiles, furniture-adjacent pieces or home accessories that still carry Yeti’s rugged and adventurous DNA.
