Timex and Todd Snyder go way back. The heralded designer added cool, obscure references from the affordable watchmaker into J.Crew’s catalog when he took over as Men’s Creative Director in the early 2000s.
The two brands have produced a series of fantastic collaborations under Snyder’s eponymous label, which played no small part in rehabilitating Timex’s reputation over the past decade. But the newest addition to the Marlin lineup adds a particularly personal touch.

Snyder has never been subtle about his love for olive green.
It features prominently throughout every collection he designs, he has expressed it in multiple interviews and when his brand reclaimed the Liquor Store — which he helped design for J.Crew shortly before exiting — the whole thing was painted in a matte olive drab.
So it is safe to say that the new Olive Marlin has Snyder’s personal touch. The clean, time-only dial has a shimmering radial sunburst texture in the designer’s favorite color.

Beyond the gorgeous dial, the Olive Marlin also features one of the most suave designs ever to grace a Timex watch. It follows a mid-century template with a rich history, utilized by brands from Seiko to JLC, and it will never go out of style.
