I’m all for a unique shoe silhouette, whether it’s a sneaker-loafer, a Mary Jane hybrid, or whatever these are.

Built upon the Authentic platform, Vans’ first-ever silhouette, the OTW release swaps the long-favored canvas upper for something more minimal, refined and premium.

The signature waffle sole, a staple since 1966, remains intact on this new rendition of the Authentic.

The smooth suede upper is crafted with an unlined, raw-edge leather that lends the shoe a refined yet contemporary look, while the cozy Vintage Cocoa Brown colorway adds warmth.

The natural edge, low-cut collar’s soft material makes for a closer fit than you’d get with bulkier alternatives.

Streamlined updates like the stripped-down 2-eye lace and clean profile modernize the recognizable low top.

Foxing tape inspired by the original ’90s Osnaburg reinforced outsoles, paired with the brand’s signature waffle outsole pattern, lend heritage.
