It’s been a long time since meteorite watch dials were as rare as their cosmic source material, so it’s increasingly difficult to make the medium feel novel.
Furlan Marie has managed to do so by dialing up the interstellar intrigue with slices of the oldest meteorite ever discovered on Earth’s surface. Best of all, it’s done so while maintaining the Swiss indie brand’s notable affordability.

You have to appreciate how Furlan Marri doesn’t mince words here. The brand’s vintage-inspired bicompax chronograph collection is called the Mechaquartz because it is powered by Seiko’s version of the affordable hybrid movement.
It offers the charm of a mid-century tool watch with a 38mm stainless steel case, polished leaf hands, Roman numeral hour markers at 12:00 and 6:00 and an era-specific pulsometer scale on the rehaut.

The polished steel case has long, slightly curved lugs, a subtly chamfered steel fixed bezel and classic pushers with decorative grips. The fluted crown is mirror-polished and sits tight to the case.
In keeping with the brand’s signature value, Furlan Marri sweetens the deal by providing two quick-release leather straps with steel pin buckles. One is creamy white and smooth, and the other is black with a pebble-grain texture.
