Call it copper or call it salmon, either way, it looks great.

It’s amazing how, after 11 years, Brew Watch Co. is still coming up with new beautiful designs inspired by coffee culture that have broader appeal and don’t feel gimmicky at all.

The new Metric Manual Wind Copper, for example, features a dial that represents the rhythmic patterns and warm copper tones of freshly pulled espresso. But you don’t have to be a caffeine addict to appreciate the salmon-and-black motif with a radial texture and a bold retro detailing.

When Brew introduced the Metric Manual Wind in 2025, it represented a significant step forward for the young, niche watchmaker. The hand-wound Sellita movement inside, contemporary proportions and time-only dial demanded to be taken seriously.

It emphasized the brand’s retro design language, pulled from the late 1970s and early 1980s, with bold blue, red and yellow detailing, and even included a signature “perfect pull” segment on the seconds track.

The new Metric Manual Wind Copper shifts focus to the enchanting visual appeal of freshly brewed espresso. Even if you don’t drink the stuff, the warm, earthy tones and rich frothy textures are alluring.

The baton hands and raised chapter ring are unchanged in form, but the applied baton hour markers are simplified, allowing the new textured dial plate to take center stage.

Freshly pulled

The practical, high-contrast color scheme of the original Metric Manual Wind, emphasizing the precision behind a good pull, is replaced with a more aesthetically pleasing two-tone design that mimics the zen allure of a fresh shot.

The copper dial, which leans toward salmon for me, features a radial-groove texture paired with a shimmering finish to mimic the ripples and evolving tones of espresso mid-brew.

It is balanced with a matte black used on the hands, hour markers and chapter ring, which features a softer salmon 60-minute track. The hands and hour markers are filled with matching lume inserts that glow green in the dark.

Brew has used this copper-and-black palette before, but never with such depth and texture. The rippled dial texture, baton hands and baton hour markers aren’t new either, but they haven’t come together so effectively before.

Turn it on

This stunning design uses Brew’s signature Metric case in brushed stainless steel, scaled to 36mm. It features a TV-shaped sapphire crystal and bezel, containing a round dial.

It mimics an integrated case with 20mm-wide hooded lugs, creating a smooth slope from the midcase through the tapered flat-link stainless steel bracelet. The bracelet is secured with a folding clasp, featuring a sliding micro-adjustment system.

What really sets the Metric Manual Wind apart from the rest of Brew’s catalog is the Sellita Caliber SW210-1 b hand-wound movement inside. It beats at 4Hz, packs a 42-hour power reserve and features a custom-finished bridge visible through a sapphire caseback.

Availability and pricing

When it debuted, the Metric Manu Wind became Brew’s best watch because it placed a higher-grade movement in the brand’s signature model. This copper-colored revamp tops the original with a more refined dial that appeals to a broader audience.

The Brew Metric Manual Wind Copper is available now from Brew for $875, an incredible bargain for a watch with these specs.
