Seiko has really been giving a lot of attention to its top-level Astron watch lately.
Updates over the past couple of years have given the direct descendant of the first-ever quartz watch a high-end makeover, as Seiko has transformed the Astron into a luxury sports watch with upgraded finishing on its angular case and integrated bracelet, intricate patterned dials and fully loaded advanced quartz movements boasting solar charging and GPS-linked accuracy.
The most recent update took place just a few weeks ago in May, with the introduction of the new Calibre 5X63 movement giving the watch a more attractive dial layout and a thinner case, along with more refined finishing and a new quick-release bracelet system.
Now, Seiko has introduced a pair of limited-edition Astron 5X63 models that show the brand isn’t afraid to get fun and colorful with its high-end quartz line.

Tourmaline dream
The Seiko GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph Calibre 5X63 gets two new limited editions that are just perfect for summer in the references HAB005 and HAB006.
Specs-wise, these two watches are exactly the same as the GPS Solar 5X63 models that launched last month. Their octagonal bezel-topped Super Hard-Coated titanium cases measure 43.4mm across, 50mm long and just 12.4mm thick, and they’re integrated perfectly into their matching titanium three-row bracelets.
