Conventional logic would dictate that if you want a fan, you buy a fan. Same goes for a heater, and an air purifier, and pretty much every other product in your home. Dyson has poured considerable research and development into all of these things with great success. Their products are consistently considered to be among the best, if not the best, money can buy. The Pure Hot+Cool Link brings all of Dyson’s strengths together into the brand’s first home product to include a fan, a heater and an air purifier — it’s the kind of thing The Guardian calls Dyson’s first “Internet of Things” product. The Pure Hot+Cool Link removes “99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns,” Dyson claims, and pushes this cool or hot air back into the room. It can also be hooked up to wi-fi, allowing users to both control the Pure Hot+Cool Link and read the air quality of their home from their smartphone.

The main pitfall is the price. It’s expensive. Like $600 expensive. But it’s not totally off the charts; choosing to buy three single-task home products isn’t very cheap, either.
