As part of the French audio brand’s 30th anniversary celebrations, Advance Paris is introducing a new premium line of audiophile amplifiers that sits just above its acclaimed Classic range.

According to the brand, the new Apex range has key elements from the Classic range, but takes them “a step further to showcase the brand’s enduring blend of form, function, and value.”

Essentially, the Apex range is Advance Paris’s new “best of the best” when it comes to components for serious audiophiles.

Tube warmth

The Apex range features four components, three integrated amplifiers (in various sizes and power) and a compact CD player, all of which come in exclusive limited edition black livery finish with high-contrast white VU meters.

All three Apex range amplifiers feature the Advance Paris’ signature hybrid tube/transistor topology, which the brand claims delivers “precise dynamics, clarity and detail that reflect the distinct sound of French audio engineering.”

Three integrated amplifiers

The three Integrated amplifiers in the new range are the entry-level A8 Apex, the midrange A10 Apex and the flagship A12 Apex. They are able to deliver 75 watts, 130 watts and 190 watts per channel, respectively.

What makes all three “integrated” amplifiers is the fact that each has a built-in DAC and multiple wired connections, including a MM phono input and HDMI eARC, so you can make each the central hub for a turntable-based hi-fi system or TV home theater system.

Classic upgrades

Compared to the brand’s Classic range components, Advance Paris claims that the Apex range has significantly improved electronics that surround the DAC sections, which include “lower noise power supplies, precision ESS Technology voltage regulators, and premium passive components.”

As for those digital-to-analog conversions, the A8 Apex and A10 Apex use the same “high-quality” DAC (ESS9018). While the flagship A12 Apex has been given a top-tier ESS9039 DAC for “ultimate audio fidelity,” according to the brand.

When paired with one of the Apex amplifiers, Advance Paris claims it delivers a “cohesive, musical performance that is designed to satisfy even the most critical listeners.”
