For the last several years, Elac’s Debut 2.0 B6.2 have been widely considered among the best bookshelf speakers you can buy for under $500. They’re designed to deliver high-fidelity sound at an affordable price. A pair typically sells for between $400 — $479.

Now, you can pick up these bookshelf speakers for significantly less.

Originally released in 2018, the Debut 2.0 B6.2 is a pair of bookshelf speakers that have a two-way design, pairing a 1-inch silk dome tweeter with a 6.5-inch aramid-fiber woofer.

Compared to their predecessors, the 2015-released Debut B6, these B6.2 models updated drivers, a taller and more braced cabinet, and a front-facing port (for more flexibility to place the speakers where you want).

The Debut 2.0 B6.2 are also easy to drive bookshelf speakers, with a 6-ohm nominal impedance and 87 dB sensitivity, and then can be paired with a wide range of amplifiers and AV receivers. Basically, they’ll work with what you current have (or what you’re hoping to get).

Clearing inventory

Of course, the reason why the Debut 2.0 B6.2 bookshelf speakers are so affordable right now are that they’ve been around for a number of years and, as of this past summer, Elac has introduced the Debut 3.0 range of loudspeakers.

This range includes the Debut 3.0 DB63 bookshelf speakers, which cost $499/pair and are the models that replace Debut 2.0 B6.2. Yes, Elac is trying to clear inventory.

On Elac’s website, it has the Debut 2.0 B6.2 bookshelf speakers as normally selling for $479, but are now discounted to $329.

For an even better deal, Crutchfield is selling those same bookshelf speakers for $299.
