Sonos Just Dropped the Price of Its Best Portable Speaker

It’s a great time to get an awesome deal on Sonos’s normally $499 speaker.

Sonos ended its big summer sale several weeks ago. And since then, it’s only discounted a few home theater bundles. As well as its Ace headphones, which seem to always be on sale.

But, as of today, Sonos is running a discount on exactly one speaker: the Move 2.

Released in late 2023, the Move 2 is Sonos’s flagship portable speaker. Like its smaller sibling, the Roam 2, the Move 2 supports streaming over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

When connected to Wi-Fi, it works very similarly to a One or Era 100 smart speaker. It can be grouped with other Sonos speakers in a multi-room system. It can be integrated with a smart assistant: Alexa or Sonos Voice Control.

Thanks to built-in Bluetooth and an IP56 rating, the Move 2 also works as a portable Bluetooth speaker that you can bring to the park, pool or beach. (Although, keep in mind that it’s nearly seven pounds and not exactly lightweight.)

Like Sonos’s more recent speakers, the Move 2 also has a USB-C line-in input, so you can hook it up to an analog source such as a turntable or CD player.

Take $100 off

The Move 2 normally costs $499, but Sonos is knocking $100 (20 percent) off of that price tag. At $399, it returns to the discount that Sonos was running earlier in the summer.

The Move 2 comes in three finishes: black, white or olive. All models are discounted.

Note: The Move 2 also ships with a charging base station, making it easy to charge. No need to purchase that separately.
