The holiday rush is over, and many of the deals that came along with it have expired — but not all of them.

Case in point: KEF’s Egg Duo. It’s one of the British audio maker’s most affordable speaker systems. And it’s currently still on sale.

Today, KEF is best known for its incredibly high-end loudspeakers, such as the $225,000 Muon and $35,000 Blade, as well as its LS series of active speaker systems. But the brand has dabbled in computer speakers over the years, too.

True, it’s LSX II ($1,500), LSX II LT ($1,000) and Coda W ($1,000) can function as a seriously badass desktop speaker system, but each of those is quite expensive.

When introduced in 2020, KEF sold the Egg Duo in five different finishes: matte black, red, cyan, ruby and green.

Its most affordable powered speaker system

A more affordable option is KEF’s Egg Duo. It’s a powered desktop speaker system that costs $500… but right now, you can snag a pair for $300.

Other than KEF’s Muo (2nd-Gen), an ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker, the Egg Duo is the most affordable speaker KEF sells.

The oval-shaped powered speakers feature KEF’s signature Uni-Q driver array, which places a tweeter inside a woofer, resulting in excellent, accurate sound. They can connect to your computer via USB or 3.5mm auxiliary connections.

And they have built-in Bluetooth, so they can double as a wireless stereo system for streaming, too.

When does the sale end?

KEF appears to be having a clearance sale on its Egg Duo desktop speaker system, which is why they so deeply discounted.

And while it’s normally available in five different colors, KEF only has the “ruby” finish left in stock. The other options include: matte black, red, cyan and green.

Because this appears to be a clearance sale on the Egg Duo, the offer only applies “while supplies last” — and thus, the deal likely won’t last much longer.
