Triangle is a French hi-fi manufacturer that specializes in beautifully designed, high-performing bookshelf and floorstanding passive loudspeakers. And most of their offerings are more affordable than you’d think.

But the company also makes wireless speaker systems. Case in point, Triangle’s Capella. Released in 2024, it features a pair of active wireless speakers and a streaming hub, which houses wired sources and wirelessly connects to the two speakers. It costs $3,499.

Now, with the Capella 2, Triangle is introducing a second-generation version of this wireless active speaker system.

2nd-gen speaker system

Triangle hasn’t strayed too far away from a tried-and-true formula with its new wireless active speaker system. In fact, the speakers are exactly the same (aside from some new colors).

Each Capella 2 speaker delivers 100-watt of Class D bi-amplification — so 200 watts for the entire system — with a dedicated amplifier and digital converter for each driver.

The Capella 2 comes in five finishes: Space White, Space Black, Astral Blue, English Green and Oak.

The main difference with the Capella 2 is that it has a significantly upgraded streaming hub, named the Stereo Hub 2.

It packs a new processor, so, according to the brand, it is “noticeably more responsive and fluid in use.” It adds a dedicated subwoofer output so you can build out the system, as well as an RJ45 Ethernet port for a more stable wired network connection.

And, maybe most importantly, the Stereo Hub 2 adds native support for Spotify Lossless, Tidal Connect and Roon Ready. So it’s a more modern, more audiophile-grade wireless speaker system.

No speaker cables required

Aside from that, the Triangle’s second-generation wireless active speaker system works just like its predecessor. The Stereo Hub 2 houses all the wired connections, so you can connect various music sources, including a turntable or a TV. It also supports streaming over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

And, like before, the real magic of the system is that the two active speakers communicate wirelessly with the Stereo Hub 2 via WiSA technology.

This gives you the freedom to place the speakers wherever you want in the room (no speaker cables required), while, according to the brand, “transmitting high-resolution audio that is 100 percent faithful to the original signal and with no perceptible latency.”

The Capella 2 are pretty much the same two-way active speakers as their predecessors, but they’re more versatile and support higher-resolution streaming.

The only other difference is that Triangle updated the look of the Capella 2 system. The speakers come in some new finishes, including Space White, Space Black, Astral Blue, English Green and Oak – each of which has lacquer cabinetry and anodized aluminum accents.

Also, there’s a matching turntable. Triangle is introducing a special-edition version of its Lunar 3 turntable — which it jointly created with Austrian turntable specialists, Pro-Ject — in the same five finishes as the speakers. So if you want to add a turntable to your shopping cart as well, you can.

Price and availability

Triangle debuted the Capella 2 wireless active speaker system this week at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show. It’s available to order today in the UK, with US (and global availability) set for sometime in March 2026.

As for price, Triangle hasn’t officially revealed what the system will cost in the US, although it’s expected to be in the same region ($3,499 ) as the original system.
