Today in Gear: In-the-Know on New Releases

Today in Gear is our daily roundup of all the latest product announcements, drops and news from Gear Patrol Studios.

Arc’Teryx has opened a new service center in Boulder, Colorado. It's billed as the company’s largest ReBird Service Center yet and will offer product repairs, re-waterproofing, traditional retail and other services. Arc’Teryx explains that "ReBird is an organization-wide commitment to shift away from a take-make-waste economy." The circular-economy centers are also helping the brand achieve its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 65 percent by 2030. While the new Boulder location is only the brand’s second Rebird Center, the company has announced plans to open four additional service centers this year in Tokyo, Marunouchi, Beijing and Vancouver.

Today we’re taking a look at an ultra-rare whiskey, a Swiss wall clock and a new workwear collection. This is Today in Gear.

The Last Drop Releases an Ultra-Rare, Unforgettable New Whiskey
Last Drop Distillers

For years, The Last Drop Distillers of London have sought to curate and create the world's rarest and most remarkable spirits. Now, the brand has tapped Sazerac Master Blender Drew Mayville to release a signature blend of Kentucky straight whiskeys. Mayville tasted more than 40 vintage bourbon and rye whiskeys, blending multiple combinations before choosing his final masterpiece. The result? A bottle concocted with spirits that Mayville spent decades choosing, setting aside and collecting – i.e., a bottle that literally cannot be recreated. Bottled at 121.4 proof, only 1,458 bottles of this rich, golden whiskey will be released – at $4,000 each.
