When the Ford F-150 Raptor Isn’t Hardcore Enough, There’s the MegaRaptor

It’ll eat an F-150 Raptor for breakfast.

The Ford F-150 Raptor is an off-road monster with a 450 horsepower 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine with 510 lb-ft of torque, but if you want something even higher on the food chain, the guys at F250R will build you a MegaRaptor out of an F-250 6.7-liter Powerstroke diesel.

The team at F250R start with the standard F-250 Super Duty, with its 385 horsepower, 430 lb-ft and add 140 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. They raise the truck up on a four-inch Bilstien suspension lift and then set it down on 46-inch military grade tires and hubs. The MegaRaptor also gets a wide body kit in an attempt to encompass the massive new tires. The end result is far from the construction-site workhorse it was built to be and more akin to a Baja race truck.

A base-model F-250 doner-truck starts at $32,535 and the F250R MegaRaptor package comes in at $28,000. Start adding additional options to either, and the final price starts to skirt $80,000 territory. Which is a lot for a truck — but keep in mind, it’ll eat an F-150 Raptor for breakfast.
