These Are Hands Down the Best Wheel Designs of the Year

One of the most anticipated cars of last year’s Geneva Motor Show is aiming for an equally exciting follow-up at this year’s show, next week. The Alpine A110 is getting two new editions to complement the standard, yet still fantastic A110, with the Légende (pictured in grey) and Pure (pictured in white) editions. The former gets more refinement for everyday driving — leather upholstery and gloss carbon fiber trim — while the latter is a stripped down, even lighter version of the already featherweight sportscar.

Just how light the Pure Edition will be and more details on the Légende edition will be announced at the show next week. What can be confirmed is that the new additions to the Alpine A110 lineup easily have the best wheel designs of the year, so far. It’s hard to pull off a two-tone look, but the Légende Edition’s large, industrial wheels are reminiscent of rally racing hubs of old, while the Pure Edition’s interesting ‘X’ pattern adds to the technical and lightweight aesthetic. Alpine is bringing the heat this year at the Geneva Motor Show; it also happens to be showing off two incredibly cool cars as well.
