In case you missed it, Ford’s iconic rally-dominating 1960s Escort is back. Well, sort of.
A British firm by the name of Boreham Motorworks got the Blue Oval’s official blessing to build a run of 150 fully modernized Mk1 RS reimaginings. As a vehicle that doesn’t really fall into the traditional buckets of ‘restomod’ or ‘continuation’ car, it’s an effort marked by a uniqueness that goes beyond bespoke.
Moreover, Boreham has put on a MasterClass of a revival. From the high-revving Ten-K four-pot in the engine bay to the twinkling Breitling rally chronographs adorning the dash, there’s a lot to appreciate.
In such cases, it’s best just to let the car do the talking. Have a gander at the awesomeness that is the Boreham Motorworks Ford Escort Mk1 RS below.
