For those of you young’uns who know nothing about the man, just know that Steve McQueen was more than just a debonair, masculine Hollywood star. He loved adventure and loved racing. His real life embodied the kind of cool we all respect. Triumph has recently pulled the covers off its homage bike, the Triumph Steve McQueen Edition, which pays tribute to the bike Mr. McQueen rode in the 1963 movie, The Great Escape. Using their timeless Bonneville T100 as the base, the special edition bike will sport a matte army green paint along with the apropos single seat and luggage rack, along with some nice black touches. The finishing piece is the Steve McQueen signature — simulated, not performed via seance. And though this bike can’t possibly make you a fraction as cool as the Hollywood icon, it will make you look pretty tough, as long as you don’t highside it.
