From lavish Sprinters to terrain-conquering truck conversions, America’s overlanding segment is as vast as it is varied.
Unfortunately, the reality is that most of these rigs require a second mortgage to account for their exorbitant price tags. They invite incredible access to adventure, but they’re not really what you’d call widely attainable.

It’s for this reason that Nissan’s Japanese-market Clipper is so tempting. While it’s an undeniably niche vehicle being a kei van, it’s nevertheless the kind of option that we could use here in the States.
