The Blast and Megablast are Ultimate Ears’ first portable and rugged Bluetooth speakers that work with Alexa. When at home and connected to wi-fi, you can ask Alexa to play/pause to the song, tell you the weather or set alarms. And when you take the speakers outside, they work like traditional Bluetooth speakers. They’re essentially better-sounding versions of Amazon’s Echo Tap ($99).
If there was a drawback the UE Blast, the smaller of the two speakers, it was the price. However now it seems like the UE Blast just dropped from $230 to $180 — that’s $50 off and the lowest we’ve seen it fall to ever. You can get it on Amazon, Target or Best Buy for $180, now.
The larger UE Megablast is still $298 in most places, although you can get it for $238 on Amazon right now.
