Breville’s collection of espresso machines strives to offer a machine fit for every level of coffee nerd. And today at Amazon, you can cop its most frugal touchscreen model at an all-time low.
The Barista Touch, which usually goes for $1,000, is outfitted with a built-in grinder, automatic dose control, a milk frothing wand and a touchscreen that allows you to customize and save drink profiles. It also uses Breville’s ThermoJet heating system, which primes the machine for shot pulling in three seconds or less.
This machine doesn’t have an auto-tamp function, a vital and often misunderstood step in the espresso-making process (ChefSteps does a good job explaining how to tamp properly). But with a couple hundred in savings, you might be okay to go it alone.
