Sure, the Big Mac gets all the attention, but let’s be honest: the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese is not-so-secretly awesome.

I shall now make a wild logical leap to the world of EDC knives, where Benchmade’s Bugout is widely viewed as supreme.

Yet I often find myself reaching more for its lesser-known brother, the edgier, tactically inspired Bailout.

That’s especially true now that Benchmade has slashed the price of the coolest execution of that knife, if not all their knives.

Cutting to the chase, I’m talking about the mouthful that is the Bailout Carbon Fiber BK Tanto.

At $400, it’s admittedly one of the priciest Bailouts you can buy, but that’s what makes the sale so special, because 20 percent off translates to a savings of $80.

Yes, $320 is still not cheap, but let’s look at what you get with this treatment beyond its stunning looks. 

The upgraded 3.38-inch blade is made of S90V, a super steel prized for its durability, edge retention and corrosion resistance, just the qualities you need in a dependable daily carry knife.

In addition to looking badass, the tanto blade is adept at piercing and puncturing (take that, annoying clamshell packaging) and no slouch when it comes to slicing and chopping, either.

The handle is just as tough, tactical and handsome thanks to carbon fiber scales with copper hardware that accents all the blacked-out elements beautifully. 

Like nearly all Benchmade folders, the pivot point is the brand’s patented, powerful Axis lock, which pairs with ambidextrous thumb studs to make one-handed deployment and retraction a snap.
