Tissot’s Entry-Level PRX Watch Is Literally Half-Off Right Now

In 2023, Tissot added to its popular PRX line of integrated sports watches in a highly unexpected way by introducing a digital version of the retro-themed stunner.

Introduced as the most affordable watch in the PRX lineup, the PRX Digital immediately became a lightning rod for controversy. While some thought the LCD screen added to the watch’s trademark ’70s and ’80s-inspired retro charms, others disliked the design and found it confusing.

If you fall into the former camp, or even if you’re a card-carrying member of the PRX Digital Haters Club, now is the time to buy the watch thanks to a crazy sale at Macy’s.

For today only, Macy’s is having a flash sale on some of its watches. Most of its selection consists of fashion watches I would never recommend anyone buy, but there is a small collection of Tissots included in the sale, including the entire lineup of PRX Digital watches.

There are six references in total. Four are in plain stainless steel with either a black or silver dial, both of which are available in 35mm and 40mm sizes. There’s also a yellow gold PVD version that comes in both of those sizes.

All six models are powered by the same ETA Calibre 2040 quartz movement, which packs in features like a chronograph, timer, alarm, day, date and dual time zone, along with an on-demand backlight.

Additionally, you’re still getting most of what you’d get from an analog PRX, including the same nicely finished case and bracelet design (the latter equipped with a quick-release system for swapping in Tissot’s rubber straps), a sapphire crystal and 100m of water resistance.

Think of the watch as a Casio given a souped-up Swiss makeover.

Availability and pricing

For today only, with the flash sale ending in the wee hours of the morning on June 24, Tissot is offering half off the entire lineup of PRX Digital watches, meaning the most affordable PRX is now absurdly cheap.

The four plain steel models are now $197.50, marked down from $399, while the two gold PVD models are $237.50, down from $475.
