Ralph Lauren has been spotted numerous times leaving prominent fashion events like the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) or his runway show during fashion week wearing Salomon trail running sneakers. So when we saw these new Salomon x District Vision Mountain Racers, we immediately thought of him. If they aren’t already there, we can only guess that they’ll quickly become a staple in Lauren’s closet. Beyond the fashion appeal, this collaborative sneaker will appeal to trail runners everywhere. We were so impressed and excited about the shoe that it made it won our annual GP100 product award and is featured in the GP100 issue of our print magazine.

District Vision worked with Salomon to create a sneaker that looks to be a combination of the S/Lab Sense 7 and Sense Ride with laces. A Salomon Contagrip rubber makes up the outsole and shock-absorbing, yet lightweight molded and injection EVA foam provides cushion in the midsole. A woven, water-resistant upper protects your toes from snow, sleet and other unfortunate weather conditions. The kevlar toe cap offers ample rock and root protection, so you’re not in the market for a new pair of sneakers after just 100 miles.
