Recovery shoes sound boring, but Salomon’s upcoming release bucks that perception, effortlessly bridging the gap between function and fashion while maintaining a comfort-first ethos.

The latest iteration of the brand’s RX platform is a hybrid Mary Jane with a premium new build that simultaneously pays homage to Salomon’s mountaineering roots and reinforces its present-day status as sovereign of streetwear.

Alpine inspiration

The RX Marie-Jeanne Alpine Echoes is a revision of the pioneering RX Marie-Jeanne silhouette, which Salomon launched in 2024 as the wave of hybrid shoes was just building.

The lifestyle release helped cement the French outdoor brand’s status as streetwear stunner, and its upcoming revision doubles down on high-end materials while remaining subtly stylish.

The RX Marie-Jeanne Alpine Echoes swaps the original’s nubuck leather for luxe, full-grain premium leather.

The 3D open mesh is traded in for a ripstop “pack-inspired” technical mesh that pays tribute to the brand’s mountaineering roots, while the lining goes from synthetic to, you guessed it, leather.

The cow-bell collar embroidery, technical mesh and buckle are all meant to echo nature, as well as the people and traditions of the Alps.

At 8 ounces per unit, the versatile hybrid silhouette is lightweight enough for all-day wear.

Availability and pricing

The RX Marie-Jeanne Alpine Echoes will be available for $150 on Salomon’s website starting July 31st.
