Asics has successfully bridged the gap between high-performance running gear and coveted lifestyle footwear, and its latest release brings both sides of the brand together seamlessly.

The collaboration Asics x FP Movement Gel-Nimbus 28 blends elevated aesthetics with premium performance, making long runs, short jogs and easy recovery days more stylish than ever.

Summertime stunner

As the workout arm of Free People, FP Movement has built a large fanbase thanks to its combination of fashion-forward, bohemian-inspired performance apparel.

In its first collaboration with the popular Japanese sportwear brand, FP Movement’s unique aesthetic is applied to one of Asics’ premium, max-cushioned daily trainer, the Gel-Nimbus 28.

The inspiration behind the team-up: a vibrant, golden hour summer sunset.

The reimagined Gel-Nimbus 28 features a vivid sunset orange on the midsole, which is overlaid with a speckled pattern for minimal texture.

The stunning shades continue through the Hybrid AsicsGrip outsole, where they are contrasted with black grip patterns.

The overlay, heel accent and heel pull are all twilight-hued as well, featuring a light pink-orange hue and a set of ombre laces that showcase the summery color palette.

The upper is a pearl white canvas that lets the warmer colors shine.

While its exterior is updated for warmer summer runs, the technology within the Gel-Nimbus 28 remains unchanged, and includes a lightweight midsole made up of a combination of FF Blast Plus cushioning and PureGEL technology.

The Asics x FP Movement Gel-Nimbus 28 is available now on Asics’ website in women’s sizing only.
