For extremely casual activities like hanging out on the beach, flip-flops are awesome. But the second the terrain gets a little rough, or you need to pick up the pace, they’re just terrible.
At best, you’re relegated to an awkward duck jog, marked by the telling flop-flop-flop of the sandals’ soles slapping against your feet. At worst, they slip out from under you or fly off completely, leaving you barefoot and susceptible to hurting yourself on the terrain.
Bedrock’s new Rockhound Sandal could change that forever, and for the better, as this ground-up revamp improves on this casual classic in numerous ruggedized ways.

Flip the script
Bedrock is no stranger to outdoor sandals, offering several variations of its classic Cairn silhouette. There’s even an argument to be made that the brand’s beloved Mountain Clog is a variation of a sandal, depending on where you sit on the concept of slides and open-back footwear.
However, the Rockhound is the brand’s first “true” flip-flop. This means, unlike the brand’s other offerings, it has no back strap whatsoever, opting for a simple over-the-foot strap with a toe post that secures between the wearer’s big and middle toes. You know: a classic flip-flop.
