Birkenstock and Kith have a long-running relationship, which doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

The brands’ last team-up happened at the tail end of 2025, once in August and again in December, with Birkenstock’s iconic Boston clog getting a braided makeover.

Now, the brands have reunited once more for another Birkenstock 1774 x Kith footwear capsule, but this time on a pair of different silhouettes. Nevertheless, they’re just as refined as their predecessors, if a bit more subtle.

Chef’s Kith

As mentioned, Kith’s most recent collaborations with Birkenstock have centered on the latter’s Boston clog. However, this latest one eschews that legend in favor of two other, perhaps less ubiquitous silhouettes: the Amsterdam and the Zürich.

The first of the two, the Amsterdam, is much more pared-down than the Boston. It’s a slip-on clog, boasting one of the brand’s most minimalist uppers, making it both sleeker overall and more easy-wearing than just about anything else in Birkenstock’s catalog. Just slip them on and go.

The second is the Zürich, a kind of hybrid between a slide and a mule, centered around an exposed-toe upper with a thick, dual-strap piece of material. While Kith has played around with both, they do retain their overall silhouettes and some key elements.

Arguably, the most significant retention is in their footbed and outsole. Both shoes get the brand’s signature, anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed. And below that, they have durable EVA foam outsoles.

From A to Z

Of the two offerings, the Zürich boasts the largest stylistic departure from the original. This sandal’s upper is built from premium suede and has metal hardware on its dual straps.

However, it also gets a significant, albeit subtle upgrade. What looks like a checkerboard pattern at a distance is actually a repeating pattern of classic fuzzy suede rectangles alternated with debossed Kith logos. It’s a style the brand is known for (it was even applied to its Benchmade EDC knife collaboration).

The Amsterdam slip-on clog is undoubtedly far more minimalist, but it isn’t without Kith-exclusive elements. Unlike the Zürich, this shoe has two options: one with a Nubuck leather upper and the other in tan suede.

Both, however, have a debossed Kith logo on the outside toward the heel. Both silhouettes also get exclusive packaging, Birkenstock labeling on the footbed and all three available options are priced the same.

Regardless of whether you choose either version of the Amsterdam (above) or the Zürich, the price is set at $225 per pair.
