As you may have noticed, Triumph just can’t seem to stop launching hot new motorcycles lately.

This week brings two more, as the Trident 660 roadster and Tiger Sport 660 adventure bike get updated for the new year.

While the bikes share a more powerful new engine, there’s plenty more to talk about with both.

Let’s start with the latter, which boasts enhanced capabilities as well as some of the finest aesthetics you’ll find in a $10,000(ish) ADV.

Power surge

Already standing alone as the only three-cylinder motorcycle in its class, this Tiger Sport gets even more formidable thanks to its updated 660cc triple.

It now makes 94 horsepower (14 hp more than its predecessor) and 50.2 ft-lb of peak torque at 8,250rpm, with 80 percent of that torque available from 3,000 rpm through to almost 12,000 rpm.

You can’t tell just by looking at it, but the new engine can take on extra weight and still pack a powerful punch.

That translates to a lively yet natural-feeling throttle response whenever you need it, which is especially confidence-inspiring when the bike is loaded up with luggage and/or a passenger.

Triumph made the engine better without making it bigger by updating the engine hardware — three individual 44mm throttle bodies, bigger airbox, tweaked cylinder head and fresh engine tune — boosting the redline by 20 percent to 12,650rpm.

The familiar six-speed gearbox boasts a recalibrated Triumph Shift Assist for swift gear changes, complemented by a rider-friendly slip-and-assist clutch.

Meanwhile, a revised exhaust system with a 3-into-1 header inhabits a tidy silencer that flies under the radar without compromising the bike’s trademark sound.

Agent of range

A bike this potent can’t be confined to the neighborhood or even the city limits, so a number of other updates (plus options including color-coded panniers and a top box) help it travel far off the beaten path — you’ll just want to swap the tires if you favor trails over tarmac.

Along with snazzy graphics and paint — choose between Interstellar Blue & Mineral Grey (shown) and Silver Ice & Intense Orange — the fuel tank gets a size bump to 4.9 gallons.

New bodywork is not only streamlined and sporty, but new radiator cowls and redesigned front-end — complete with a one-hand-adjustable windscreen — boost weather protection and comfort.

Top-notch Show suspension, Nissin calipers and Michelin Road 5 tires ease handling, braking and traction, while the relatively low seat height (32.87 inches) and manageable wet weight (465 pounds) help you keep the shiny side up.

Newer and smaller riders can swap in a dual low seat, reducing seat height nearly a full inch to 31.89 inches.

The smallest and most affordable Tiger Sport bike doesn’t skimp on rider-friendly tech either; it boasts ride-by-wire throttle, three ride modes, ABS, adjustable traction control, Optimized Cornering ABS and switchable Optimized Cornering Traction Control.

Such options and more can be accessed through the color TFT display with LCD screen, while full LED lighting, complete with a new headlight design, ensure you can see and be seen wherever you roam.

Availability and pricing

The 2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 rolls into dealerships in March at a starting price of $10,445.
