Thanks largely to a sweeping new lineup of Made-in-India bikes, Honda has made a lot of news lately.

However, it has also generated notable headlines domestically, owing in part to some fascinating auctions.

Meanwhile, the likes of Benelli, BMW, Boss Hoss, CFMoto, Harley-Davidson, Indian, Husqvarna and Kawasaki have caught our attention with everything from a tiny 249cc dual-sports to a massive 8,128cc cruiser (not a misprint).

Stark Varg EX and MX Factory Editions

The vaunted Spanish electric moto brand soups up its enduro (left) and motorcross (right) models with race-ready suspension, trimmed weight, increased control and carefully curated components. Highlights of both the street-legal EX and the MX include a titanium-supported KYB Factory A-Kit suspension package, Dynamic Traction Control, a high-grip seat and additional tweaks aimed at boosting rider confidence and bike performance. Produced in a single global limited-edition run, a total of 200 MXs will be available for $15,990, with 300 EXs going for $16,990.

“Go big or go home” may be a cliché for many, but for Dyersburg, Tennessee-based Boss Hoss, it’s a mantra. How else to explain the fact its entry-level model is now available with an 8,128cc big-block V8 engine making 600 horsepower and 569 lb-ft of torque? The largest of four V8s available for the cruiser, the behemoth jumps over from the discontinued Super Sport Bike. Other highlights include a clutch-free two-speed semi-automatic transmission with reverse gear and fuel efficiency of 18 to 25 mpg, not too shabby considering the curb weight is … 1,226 pounds.
