The Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 came to a close yesterday, and while most eyes were on who medalled throughout the past two weeks, Nike used the moment to relaunch its outdoor-focused sub-label, ACG.

The Nike ACG Air Zoom Gaiadome GTX boots weren’t part of the official Team USA collection, but thanks to a subtle, versatile new refresh, they could have easily fit in at the alpine-heavy athletic festival.

With a refined new hue and the same rugged construction ACG is known for, the updated silhouette feels ready to hold its own on trails and mountains far beyond the podium.

Moon walk

Having boldly stepped on the scene in 2022, and heavy-duty winter boots have gotten multiple aesthetic refreshes over the years.

While the previous iterations of the ACG Air Zoom Gaiadome GTX boots focused on earthy, classically outdoor-inspired shades, 2026 sees a moon-grey take on the rugged boots.

The boot includes Trail Frame, a proprietary ACG structure integrated into the midsole that provides lateral support without extra bulk.

The capable trail silhouette features finely tuned, large lugs capable of tackling steep mountain slopes, as well as a Gore-Tex finish on the upper designed to keep weather at bay.

The Grey Fog/ Pure Platinum edition continues the rugged design language of its predecessors, albeit in a refined new hue that would be as at home topping the podium as it would on winter trails.

The sophisticated new color gives the boots an almost lunar-like aesthetic, which matches their out-of-this-world performance capabilities.

Notable tech includes Nike Air technology, which absorbs impact and provides superior cushioning.

A synthetic upper, lightweight plastic midfoot shank, padded ankle, reflective details and oversized heel pull tab complete the compelling package.
