When you think of a tote bag, chances are your mind first goes to those basic canvas bags common among grocery shoppers and farmers’ market patrons. And that makes sense, since most of the time the tote is a humble, basic EDC and travel bag.
But the RC Outdoor Supply Piper Tote Bag is on another level entirely. I’d even go so far as to say that calling it a tote is misleading, as this bag is far more rugged, capable and feature-rich than its brethren.
In fact, I’d venture as far as to call it a better EDC and travel bag than even the average backpack or roller bag.
Tote-ally radical
At its core, this bag is a tote, in that it adheres to the basic, expected shape of a tote (similar to a grocery bag) and has a pair of suitcase-style grab handles. That said, it’s also much more than a standard tote.
For instance, it has a detachable shoulder bag, which allows it to be carried more like a gym bag or duffel. It also has a zipper closure on the top, which is more in line with duffels and other bags than totes, which are traditionally open-topped.
