This Ultra-Formidable EDC Knife Is Terrain 365’s Most User-Friendly, Thanks to a Unique Lock

If you’re fortunate enough to be acquainted with Terrain 365, you know the brand is known for crafting some truly exceptional knives — both EDC and fixed-blade. You may also know that the brand is constantly evolving and improving its designs.

For instance, the brand’s flagship folder, the Invictus, was just redesigned earlier this year to make it even more formidable and refined.

Now, that same model has become the platform for the brand’s most user-friendly knife yet, dubbed the Terrain 365 Invictus-TL.

Robust beauty

It’s important to note that this version of the Invictus doesn’t compromise on anything that made it special in the first place. It’s still an absurdly formidable tactical folder with exceptional ergonomics and robust materials.

That starts with the brand’s signature element: a blade made from Terravantium Dendritic Cobalt, a steel that’s so completely corrosion-resistant that it’s guaranteed rustproof for life. It also sports a versatile drop-point shape, C3 GITD thumbstud cabochons and spine jimping for some extra leverage when you need it.

That blade is mated to the handle via a titanium pivot with brass cages and ceramic ball bearings. The handle also has titanium liners and grippy, machined G-10 handle scales.

Even the spacers and hardware are titanium. All in all, the knife measures 8.125 inches and has a 3.375-inch blade. Beefy, robust, formidable, imposing — all these words (and more) fit in the knife’s description.

Yet, there’s still more to offer.

To infinity and beyond

Many of the elements found on this Invictus are carried over from previous versions (which isn’t a bad thing at all.) So, what separates this one?

Well, this is the first truly ambidextrous folding knife the brand has offered. It has dual thumbstuds for left- or right-handed deployment, as well as a reversible titanium pocket clip.

However, it’s the novel locking mechanism that seals the deal. Instead of a frame lock, as is typical in the model, this one swaps in ABS Master Smith James Rodebaugh’s Infinity Lock.

This crazy-robust locking mechanism is housed in the upper back of the knife’s handle and boasts slider-actuated action. Not only is it exceptionally strong, but that slider also makes operating the mechanism super simple with either hand. It also cements the status of this knife’s complete ambidexterity (and accessibility.)
