Aether teamed up with California-based eyewear brand Salt to make the quintessential adventure sunglasses. The Voyage sunglasses are the third collaboration between the brands and an evolution of the earlier Scout style. Made in Japan, the sunglasses feature a “memory metal” bridge and top bar that can flex, twist and return to their original shapes. This added durability is complemented by an incredibly light build utilizing a Japanese titanium frame and beta-titanium temples.
The Voyage sunglasses have vented side shields to block wind and peripheral sun. The shields are made from a new type of silicone borrowed from the medical industry that is both flexible and durable. And for optimal eye protection, the lenses are both polarized and photochromic, changing shade when they are exposed to light. Available in four colorways, the sunglasses retail for $650 and are available now at Aether. While the price may seem steep to some people, rest assured that you’re getting an industry-leading product that does not compromise on any detail.
