Spokane, Washington boot brand Nicks Handmade Boots recently released a rugged style designed for the city. The Urban Logger has all the features of a serious work boot in a city-friendly silhouette.
The style utilizes a 5.6-ounce brown Horween waxed leather upper and has a 6-inch height that’s appropriate for daily wear. And like Nicks’ boots designed for hotshot wildland firefighters and forestry workers, the Urban Logger has an intense Vibram V-100 lug sole, a tall Logger heel, brass hardware and Nicks’ legendary arch.
Available in half-sizes from 6 to 15 and widths from AA to FFF. (Worth noting: Nicks recommends first-time customers send if a Fit-sheet to guarantee an ideal size.) The Urban Logger is completely rebuildable and resole-able and costs $485 — and while that’s more than off-the-shelf boots, you’re getting a lot more for your money.
