Dakine Cyclone

Dry bag for a wet world

Whether you’re bike commuting in Seattle, doing a surf photo shoot in Maui or boarding a dive boat in Fiji, you’re going to need to keep your gear dry. The trick is to find a waterproof bag that holds all your stuff but doesn’t feel like a potato sack on your back. The Dakine Cyclone is that bag.

Dakine is known for building tough, utilitarian packs and this one is no exception, with welded seam construction, thick padded shoulder straps and a rolltop closure that seals out the wet. A small outside pocket holds keys, sunglasses and sunscreen and closes with a waterproof zipper. Logos are reflective, great for riding home in traffic late, and the straps are comfortable enough for a long portage or hike to a remote surf break. The Cyclone holds 36 liters of anything you want to cram in it – homework, camera gear or even potatoes.
