Few collaborations in streetwear and sportswear command attention quite like those from Edison Chen’s CLOT and Adidas Originals.
Their latest project, the CLOT x Adidas Pro Model Winter Boot Collection, reimagines the brand’s classic basketball sneaker (and forebearer to the iconic Superstar) as retro hiking boot it for cold-weather wear with signature CLOT touches.
What You Need to Know

At its core, the Pro Model Winter Boot Collection pays homage to both the heritage of Adidas’s classic basketball sneaker and the unique aesthetic vision that has made CLOT one of Asia’s most influential streetwear brands.
Founded by Edison Chen in 2003, CLOT emerged from Hong Kong’s vibrant street culture and has since bridged Eastern and Western fashion sensibilities in ways few brands can match.

This winter boot reimagined the Pro as a vintage hiking boot reminiscent of classics from Vasque as well as more modern interpretations from Danner and a various Italian boot makers like Fracap and Diemme, all the while maintaining the Pro’s shell-toe design originally popularized by the Adidas Superstar.
While exact details about the new boot are slim, sources including House of Heat state it features premium leather uppers. Images also clear show metal speed hooks for lacing as well as a rugged outsole designed for traction in less-than-ideal conditions, which is clearly borrowed from the Adidas Originals by Edison Chen Clot Superstar released last year.

Currently there’s no word on whether the boot includes actual winter-ready details though to match it’s après-ski styling such as waterproof treatments.
We’ll be disappointed if this release winds up being purely form with no function, but we can also appreciate the novelty of a boot that you’d never expect Adidas of all brands to make.
