Converse’s Latest Release Nails the Vintage Sneaker Revival Trend

Vintage-inspired sneakers are here to stay in 2026, and while Converse’s latest ’70s-inspired release isn’t a Chuck Taylor All Star, it’s a star in its own right.

The new All Star Classic Trainer Suede draws from Converse’s vintage multi-sport models from the 1970s that sat outside the basketball-focused Chuck Taylor All Star line.

If the revival proves anything, it’s that sometimes the underdog can become the main attraction.

The All Star Classic Trainer Suede made its debut in 2025, and Converse is building upon the success of the flat soled sneaker with a new selection of bright colorways that marry vivid hues with tactile, premium suede.

The new color additions to the street-ready sneakers include Smoked Paprika Red/White, Classic Ecru/White and New Found Bloom Pink/Lizard Breath Green.

Smoked Paprika is easily the most vintage coded, with its burnt orange seemingly taken straight from the ’70s.

The Classic Ecru is for neutral lovers who want a slim sneaker without all the limelight, and the pink and green combo is ideal for those who love for their footwear to do the talking.

All three new takes on the instant classic are constructed with an elevated suede upper, OrthoLite cushioning and an EVA midsole for extra comfort and gum outsoles that keep things slim yet capable of all-day wear.

The All Star Classic Trainer Suede is available now on Converse’s website for just $80. It can be found in all three new colors as well as the original Black and Archive Sea Green options.
