Angle Razor Is a Welcome, Modern Update to an Old-School Necessity

Designed with a bend in the handle, rather than in the traditional folding style, the shape of the Angle Razor is meant to keep a man’s view unobstructed while he, you know, drags a sharp blade across his own throat.

British product design firm Morrama has designed what it calls a “straight razor for the 21st century” — a cleverly-angled, machined aluminum shavette that works with common disposable razor blades. Designed with a bend in the handle, rather than in the traditional folding style, the shape of the Angle Razor is meant to keep a man’s view unobstructed while he, you know, drags a sharp blade across his own throat. Seems like a great idea. Its aluminum construction guarantees a long, oxidation-free life, and stand that’s as equally elegant as the Angle Razor itself, is available too. This is a Kickstarter project, but with over three weeks still to go in its funding period, it’s already nearly tripled its goal.
