For half a century, Oakley’s built a reputation at the intersection of audacious design and optical clarity. But 50 years later, it can still find novel ways to define the term “crystal clear.”

The newly released Plazma Sunglasses X-Silver sees the California brand team up with none other than Swarovski.

Together the two brands outfitted a pair of sunglasses in over 800 round-cut crystals, resulting in what will likely cap off the year as Oakley’s boldest design of 2025.

The basis of the design is a pair of silver Plazma sunglasses, released by Oakley in 2021 as a modern interpretation of the late-1990s Racing Jacket.

Notably, those frames were worn by Dutch soccer player Edgar Davids, as well as the American cyclist George Hincapie and basketball icon Dennis Rodman.

Like the Racing Jacket, the Plazma sports a dual-lens construction with aggressive angles, especially on the bottom rim. However, it comes with Oakley’s modern optical technology.

In the case of the new collaboration, that means Prizm Jade lenses, engraved with the name “Swarovski” where “Prizm” usually goes.
