Teva’s classic XLT Hurricane sandal is not the pinnacle of beauty. Sure, it’s rugged as heck, but the classic outdoor footwear — through many collaborations and permutations — has always eschewed form for function. The brand’s new collaboration with Snow Peak, however, gives the XLT Hurricane an attractive upgrade. The Japan-based company makes rarefied outdoor gear that looks as good as it works, so it’s no surprise they did away with the Hurricane’s all-black colorway and funky strap prints. The straps and footbed on the Snowpeak collab are a desaturated hue of blue, complemented by a speckled rubber sole.
The Hurricane drops on September 1 and will retail for $160, but is available for preorder at snowpeak.co.jp.
