Acer Iconia 6120 Touchbook

Keep Your Doritos Fingers Away

The Acer Iconia-6120 14-Inch Dual-Screen Touchbook ($1,200) is the latest iteration of a budding computing form factor that wants to walk the line between tablets and laptops. Unlike the petite Toshiba Libretto W100, this king of the Iconia series sports two 14-inch Gorilla Glass touch panels that provide plenty of real estate for all manner of ADD interactions. If the need to do such antiquated tasks as typing arises, users can simply place their palms on the bottom screen to bring up a virtual keyboard at any time. Obviously, those screens need behind the scenes oomph, which in this model comes in the form of a Core i5 CPU, 4GB of memory and integrated Intel HD graphics. Other multimedia centric goodies packed in include a 640GB hard drive, USB 3.0 support, a 1.3 MP camera, and an HDMI output. In terms of software, the tabtop ships with a 64-bit copy of Windows 7 Home Premium, as well as some custom Acer touch related goodies. Integrated windshield wipers are probably an aftermarket installation.
