The McIntosh MC611 is a quad balanced power amplifier that’s capable of pushing 600 watts of power to your speakers. Like the company’s other serious audiophile-grade components, MC611 continues the trend of having glowing blue meters, signature knobs and an overall retro-futuristic vibe. Technically, it’s a newer and upgraded version of McIntosh’s previous monoblock MC601 power amp that launched in 2011. The MC611 has twice the filter capacity and a few aesthetic changes (black glass front panel, illuminated logo) to align itself with your home stereo or theater system. You can preorder it now through authorized McIntosh dealers for $7,500. It’ll ship later in February.
