The Bose SoundSport Free are the company’s first truly wireless earbuds. When they were released around two years ago, the SoundSport Free were selling for $250 a pop, but Bose had since lowered the price to $200; this is the current price of the SoundSport Free on Amazon (see here) and Bose’s website (here). However, you can currently get a pair of SoundSport Free that have been “factory renewed” on eBay for $120. That’s significantly cheaper than AirPods.
A few things to know. It’s true that eBay is selling “factory renewed” models, but every product comes with a 30-day trial period — if you’re not happy with the product you can return it and get a full refund.
It’s also worth noting that the SoundSport Free earbuds have been around for a while, and Bose has since announced two new truly wireless earbuds that’ll be released in 2020: Bose Earbuds 500 and the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. Both new wireless earbuds will likely be more expensive, however, and they won’t be available for near half a year.
If you’re looking for sport-focused wireless earbuds — which AirPods are not — then this deal on the Bose SoundSport Free is a pretty great find.
