Panerai Released Three New Watches in an Unexpected Colorway

Black, white and even blue dials are a dime a dozen.

Black, white and silver watch dials have long been ubiquitous in watch design. Blue, brown and slate gray are now having their moments. But dark green? Aside from a handful of well-executed examples from brands like Oris, Rolex and Seiko, the colors is fairly uncommon. That’s why it’s so refreshing to see Panerai offer up three watches adorned with a lush, forest-colored hue.

The trio is comprised of the Radiomir 1940 3 Days Acciaio ($9,200), Radiomir 8 Days Titanio ($12,100) and Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days GMT Titanio ($18,100). Each features an in-house, hand-winding movement from Panerai, though the former two are time and date only while that latter features a GMT function, a mono-pusher chronograph and a power-reserve indicator. Both the Radiomir 8 Days and Luminor Monopulsante are housed in titanium cases, coming in at 45mm and 44mm, respectively, while the Radiomir 3 Days comes with a massive 47mm case in stainless steel.
