Founded in 2008 as a humble watch blog, Hodinkee has grown over the years to become one of the most prominent and influential voices in the watch industry. In 2013, it was part of Time’s list of “50 Best Websites.” Since then, Hodinkee has spawned its own vintage watch and accessory e-commerce platform and partnered with several renowned watchmakers to create its own series of limited edition watches. Now it’s continuing to expand with its very own venture into print with Hodinkee Magazine.
The new magazine will be published bi-annually and, according to Hodinkee, cover adjacent topics beyond watches, such as cars, architecture, travel and style. Feature stories in the first issue include an in-depth history of the Rolex Sea-Dweller, an analysis of the first generation Porsche 911 and a profile on Paul Newman’s Rolex Daytona. The magazine also features contributions from famous watch enthusiasts such as musician John Mayer, Food Network star Alton Brown and author Gary Shteyngart.
The magazine is available for pre-order now, directly from Hodinkee’s website, with deliveries beginning September 27th.
