Aquadive has been making serious tools for divers since 1962, in the midst of the golden age of recreational diving. For their latest release, the Austrian-headquartered brand reimagined their bestselling Bathyscaphe 100 in a new “Steel Blue” colorway, adding a hardened steel case to the an already robust design.
The Bathyscaphe 100 features a beefy 42.9mm case and a helium escape valve at 6 o’clock, should you feel the need to take advantage of the watch’s impressive 1,000m of water resistance. Other standout features include a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, applied hour markers with C3 Super-LumiNova, a 120-click unidirectional rotating bezel with a luminous ceramic insert, a dual-gasket system in the crown and case back, and the tried and true automatic ETA 2824-2 automatic movement.
The Bathyscaphe 100 includes two Isofrane rubber dive straps in blue and black and is currently shipping at an MSRP of $1,890. But wait, there’s more: If you love what you see and want to place an order, you can use the code “PBBSL20” at checkout and take $300 off, for a pre-Baselworld price of $1,590.
