Hamilton’s Khaki Navy collection is the aquatic little brother to the Khaki Field collection. Like many younger siblings, it has long lived in the shadows, cast in this case by arguably the most famous field watch of all time, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad watch.
A new batch of Khaki Navy Scuba 40mm references adds a sporty flair to the practical daily-wearing diver. It comes in four color schemes, including an eye-catching sefoam green with an extra detail on the dial.

Strictly speaking, the Khaki Navy Scuba is more of a skin diver. Its compact case offers only 100m of water resistance, compared to the 300m provided by the 43mm version and the whopping 1,000m boasted by the BelowZero.
But 100m is all you need if you’re not gearing up with a SCUBA tank and flippers. It’s an affordable, all-purpose diver that’s ideal for summer vacations and carefree daily wear.
The 40mm case remains unchanged, with a sloping crown guard and all. At 13mm thick, it isn’t the most compact skin diver, but the height allows for complex depth on the dial texture.

Inside the case is the same Hamilton Caliber H-10 automatic movement, a derivative of the Swatch Group’s Powermatic 80. It provides the corporate standard 80-hour power reserve and is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring.
